Update

Okay so I haven't been keeping up with the blog very well... but we have been busy. Not last weekend, but the weekend before our ward had a Chili Cook-off, which was pretty fun. They gave out awards for "most original", "hottest", and "best tasting". Of course, Graham got "hottest". Come on we would be doing Texas shame if we didn't. He used this hot sauce called "Dave's Insanity Sauce". I don't know if you can see it but it has crazy warnings on it ... strips waxed floors, removes driveway grease stains... Not for people with heart or respiratory problems...

Here is a picture of the award... they said we have to keep it for a year and then bring it back to the cook-off next year. Graham says he is going to mount it to the wall. They wrote Currie's on it to keep track of who won. Graham says that we will win every other year, just to give someone else a chance to get their name on it...

Yes, it is a real fire extinguisher that they drained , and spray-painted gold...

My kids, since they are true Texans can stand the heat. Emma drank a bowl of salsa at a restaurant when she was 2 1/2. Last night Charlotte poured almost an entire container of Tony Chacheres (cajun creole seasoning) on her white pasta and broccoli dinner... I had to point out that it was white so that you can tell that all that reddish-orange stuff is seasoning. She ate a little bit of it afterwards... but then was in great need of a drink.
